Yumedyne Art
yumedyne (YOO-muh-dyne) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Huntsville whose work spans painting, textiles, sculpture, and wearable art. Drawing from mythology, pop culture, aerospace systems, religious iconography, and personal history, yumedyne creates densely layered visual narratives that explore power, complicity, identity, and the stories societies tell themselves to justify violence and control. Working in a maximalist visual language that combines bright color with psychologically dark subject matter, yumedyne incorporates recurring symbols—including angels, demons, ghosts, rabbits, televisions, and aerospace imagery—as part of an evolving personal mythology. Their work balances social critique with ambiguity, inviting viewers to confront uncomfortable questions without prescribing definitive answers. Through painting, embroidery, screen printing, resin work, and other mixed-media processes,
yumedyne creates objects that function simultaneously as artifacts, allegories, and acts of resistance.
